Youth Engagement

Over 11,500+ students, faculty and business people in British Columbia and around the world, have been impacted through this pioneering work.

Leading Change for Youth

Our Youth Engagements are a mutli-faith and multi-cultural collaborative effort working with both youth and educators to challenge stereotypes and foster understanding. The program helps to address and counter all forms of hate and discrimination in Canada.

Impact and Activities:

  • Reaching Thousands: Over 11,500 students, faculty, and business people in British Columbia and beyond have been impacted by this initiative.
  • Engaging Students and Teachers: The interactive program helps develop cultural competence by addressing the challenging issue of hate and racism in Canada.
  • Breaking Down Silos: Meaningful engagement is facilitated with leading members of diverse communities, including Indigenous, Black, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, and Asian/Buddhist communities.
  • Encouraging Critical Thinking: Students can ask tough and open questions as they learn about personal and media bias and how to critically analyze the representation of others.
  • Addressing Individual Biases: The project aims to create meaningful interactions between students and individuals from different backgrounds, promoting understanding and challenging stereotypes.

We work to bridge divides and create a more inclusive society by fostering direct connections and encouraging open dialoguFoe.

(Upcoming) Drugs and Gangs: A Community Forum on Public Safety

Communities across the Lower Mainland continue to face the urgent challenges of drugs, gangs, and youth violence. Families, educators, law enforcement, and local organizations all share a growing concern for the safety and well-being of our young people. To address these challenges head-on, we are proud to announce the Drugs and Gangs Public Safety Forum—an interactive, solutions-focused event designed to bring together community members, experts, and frontline organizations.
