MAC Calgary Leadership Meeting & Community Engagement with Amira Elghawaby:

May 03, 2023

The meeting with the MAC Calgary Leadership was exceptionally successful, fostering a profound understanding of the mental health implications of Islamophobia, which are often overlooked.

The integration of Amira Elghawaby's expertise in combating Islamophobia and our steadfast advocacy for mental health allowed us to present a comprehensive and nuanced perspective on these interconnected societal issues.

The subsequent community engagement session became a platform for reaching a broader segment of the Muslim community in Calgary. This event served as a catalyst for open discussions around Islamophobia and mental health, thereby breaking down barriers and nurturing an environment of mutual support and understanding.

The MAC Calgary leadership's willingness to refer clients and actively support Project Falah was a significant outcome of this meeting. This commitment will not only enhance the direct impact of our services on the individuals we serve but will also establish a stronger, more resilient community network.

The referrals from MAC Calgary will help us reach more individuals in need, thus significantly expanding our impact. Furthermore, their support will enhance Project Falah's visibility in the community, thereby attracting more potential donors and increasing our fundraising potential.

The relationship between MAC Calgary and Project Falah is symbiotic. MAC Calgary's support and referrals will help us extend our reach and make a more significant impact, while our work aligns with their mission of fostering a healthier, more inclusive community. The increased visibility and success of Project Falah will, in turn, reinforce MAC Calgary's reputation as a proactive, caring leadership organization.

This partnership will thus benefit both our organizations, but most importantly, it will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we aim to serve.
