Breaking Silos | Building Communities
#HateFreeBC
Our set of programs designed and developed in British Columbia to address racism and discrimination across the province.
working together | Working for all
Creating a hate free b.c.
To increase both the opportunity for, and instances of, positive interaction between IBPOC and allied communities in the lower mainland using evidenced-based strategies validated by measurable outcomes.
We take a start-up mindset towards developing solutions for key challenges faced by Canadians. Through this lens we are developing and delivering creative and impactful solutions for Racism, Climate Change, Gender Equality, Youth Engagement, Mental Health, Social Technological Innovations, LBGTQ2S+ Inclusion, and Refugee/Immigrant Support.
The Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network operates in more than 50 communities across the province. We see a future free from racism and hate. Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network is bringing communities together to do the hard work and make this vision a reality. The Resilience BC Hub, managed by the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society, provides support and coordination services to the network.
In 2020-2021 we impacted 850,000+ people, formed over 200+ organizational relationships and opened an office in Toronto to take the same Silo-Busting, evidence-based approach pioneered in B.C. across the country.
- Alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) with the Reduce inequality within and among countries by ensuring equal opportunity and reduce inequalities of outcome, including by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices and promoting appropriate legislation, policies, and action in this regard.
